= about cy =

hi!! this one's name is cy (always written in lowercase), and it uses it/doll/pup pronouns, with a preference for being referred to in 3rd person. you can read more about that down at the bottom of the page! :3

cy is an artist, mostly in the UT/DR sphere, but it's trying to branch out! it does other stuff too sometimes ... like pokemon ... and some original ideas it has yet to flesh out at all... one day tho. tl;dr cy makes stuff, and if you want it to make stuff for you, you should totally look at its commissions just below.

pronouns:

cy uses it/doll/pup pronouns and prefers to be addressed in third person. it will also refer to itself in third person frequently, especially amongst close friends. if you aren't as close with cy, or are in a more public space, you'll probably witness it refer to itself in first person. it gets embarassed sometimes!

sometimes, this one refers to itself in first person just to make a phrase more intuitive to read/say. you'll know it when you see it. additionally, certain phrases simply don't work when trying to apply it/its to them, such as "thank you." don't worry about these. cy understands.

this one understands that this manner of speaking is hard for many creatures to wrap their heads around, and is okay with being referred to in second person if you just can't manage it, but please at least try!

so how does that work?

referring to someone in third person can seem intimidating at first, but it's really quite simple. the best way this one can summarize it is to phrase your sentences as if you're talking about cy to another creature.

for example, a simple question like "how are you doing?" would become "how is [this one]/[it]/[cy] doing today?"

also, just for those who may not be aware of how to structure sentences using neopronouns, here's an example using doll pronouns

"doll's not home right now. doll went to the store all by dollself, i'm so proud of doll :]"

and if you don't feel comfortable using those, then you can also just use 'it.' however, this one requests that you not use he/she/they on it at all. if you want to try force-assigning it some other neopronouns, though, by all means go right ahead.

species:

this one does not identify as human, and doesn't enjoy being labelled as one or included alongside them as a group. instead, it identifies withs several non-human labels, with the primary ones being dog¹, robot, and doll. it's multiclassing :] if you're curious regarding why these labels appeal to cy, you can always message it and ask! this one loves talking about itself.
